The Snell's Law of refraction states that the ratio of sine of angle of incidence to that of angle of refraction for a given pair of media is always a constant ie, sin-i/sin-r = constant (n). This constant is also known as REFRACTIVE INDEX of the medium.

Snell law states that the ratio of sin of angle of incidence to the sin of angle of refraction is constant for the light of a given color and the given pair of medium .this is true for angle (0<I<90°)
