9) Is acidic in nature (pH < 6) and is coarse grained. 10) Running water cuts through clayey soil to form deep channels called GULLIES. Soil erosion caused by these channels is called Gully Erosion. 11) When fast flowing water erodes soil cover in a land as a whole to low lying areas, erosion is called Sheet Erosion. 12) Due to heavy rainfall, intense leaching takes place in laterite soil. This causes killing of microorganisms and thus, low humus content. 13) Though Rajasthan has arid soil which is unsuitable for cultivation, it is abundant in solar and wind energy.

It emphasized on environment conservation and sustainable development.
