A series of six - lane superhighways connecting 4 major metropolitan cities in India ie, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. It also has a North South corridor (Srinagar to Kanyakumari) and an East West corridor (Silchar to Porbandar). It is controlled and maintained by National Highway Authority of India.

Golden quadrilateral super highways are highways in which they are linked to six major states of India . The objective to do this project is to reduce the distance and make more efficiency of road transport.
