3X+Y=11 - X-Y=5 = 2X=6 So X=6/2=3 Put value of x and the value of Y will be 2 ..... This is done by elimination method

Atul Kushawha 4 years, 5 months ago

You can do it by elimination method Let X+Y=5 be 1st eqn. And 3X+Y=11 be 2nd eqn. Subtract eqn. 2 from 1 This became 2X=6 X=3 Put value of X in eqn.1 Y=2
