If a force acting on a particle is always directed towards or away from a fixed point and its magnitude depends only upon the distance (r) from the point , then the force is "Central Force".

Central force is the force that is radially pointing and the magnitude is dependent on the distance from the source. Examples of central forces are gravitational force, electrostatic forces, and spring force.
