Diamond is the allotrope of carbon which is hard and lustrous . There exists wander- wall force in diamond. Graphite is the allotrope of carbon which is soft and dull.There does not exist any wander - wall force in graphite .

Diamond is only made of carbon molecules and it is most hardest carbon material. Graphite is also made of 3 layered carbon molecules and it is good conductor of electricity
