Uses = Soda-acid fire extinguishers, antacid tablets, baking powder (baking soda + tartaric/citric acid), makes cooking faster, making crispy and fried items, making cakes and biscuits.

Nacl+H2O+CO2+NH3→NH4Cl+NaHCO3 or Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O → 2 NaHCO3 it is use in making cake spongy and it is an antacid

The chemical preparation of baking soda involves a process known as Solvay's process or ammonia soda process. It is the process of passing CO2 through Ammoniacal brine ( ammonia, salt and water). NaCl + H2O + NH3 + CO2 ----> NaHCO3 + NH4Cl. NaHCO3 is partially soluble and NH4Cl is completely soluble in water. Therefore, baking soda can be procured through simple filtration.
