1) He believed that British grew up and survived in India due to the cooperation of Indians and if we refuse to cooperate, then British will leave within one year. (Hind Swaraj, 1909). 2) He wanted both Muslims and Hindus to get united so, he merged the Khilafat movement with the Non cooperation movement. 3) The failure of the Rowlatt Satyagraha was a source of humiliation for him. So, he decided to launch another movement which emerged out to be the Non Cooperation Movement of the 1920s.
