BINARY FISSION =Type of fission wherein the parent body divides into two daughter cells. Karyokinesis happens only once. Eg :- Amoeba, Leishmania, etc. MULTIPLE FISSION = Type of fission wherein parent body divides into many daughter cells. Karyokinesis occurs multiple times. Eg :- Plasmodium.
