The mean of 20 numbers is 20. If 5 is added to each of the first ten numbers, what will be new mean of the new set of 20 numbers?

Given mean of 20 number =20.So,sum of total number=20×20=400 If we add 5 in first ten number then sum total of numbers be 450.then the new mean will be 450/20=22.5 ans.

Mean of 20 number is given 20 from there we can find sum of observation by multiplying total number and mean ,we get 400 and then 5 is added 10times which is equal to 450 after that for finding new Mean : sum of all observations ÷Total number=450÷20=22.5
