2x^2+7x+3 Multiply 2 with 3=6 Split the middle term 7x in 6x+1x You will get 2x^2+6x+1x+3 Take 2x common from 2x^2+6x you will get 2x (x+3) Take 1 common from 1x+3 you will get 1 (x+3) Now, 2x (x+3)+1 (x+3) =(x+3)(2x+1) =x=(-3)........................(1) =x=(-1/2).....................(2) there are two values of x
