The glass slab acts as 2 prism kept inverted to each other and so when the white light passes through one prism it disperse and when the dispersed light passes through 2nd prism (that was kept inverted to the first prism) the dispersed light recombine to give white light So no dispersion takes place in prism

This is because of their geometric shape. In a glass slab opposite side are parallel whereas in prism opposite side are not parallel.
