    Let speed of boat be x and speed of stream be y Speed of upstream= x-y and speed of downstream= x+y Case 1: T1+T2= Total time 16/x-y + 24/x+y=6 16u+24v=6 8u+12v=3......(1) Case 2: 12/x-y +36/x+y=6 12u+36v=6 2u+6v=1.......(2)
