First law of motion tells us that any body will not change its direction or state of motion until external force is applied. This law is also known as law of inertia

when there is no force then there will be no acceleration and when there is no acceleration there will be no force . by newtons second law we can prove it as f=ma if a =0 then f=0 and vice versa
