What was the role of jackobins during the French revolution ?

Jacobins majorly affect the French Revolution. The constitution made by the National Assembly benefitted the prosperous section of the society and the weaker section get deprived of the constitutional rights. This dissatisfied jacobins,a french club majorly composed of weaker section of the society. So jacobins did the following things in revolt : 1.Made the King Hostage : In August 10,1792 Jocobins attacked the Palace of tuileries where the king was residing and made him hostage for hours. 2.Support of Assembly : After this the assembly did voting to imprison the riyal family in order to avoid the anger of jacobins. 3.Amendment in Constitution : Afterwards the restrictions on voting were removed by the assembly and every person could now vote who is above 21 years of age. This led to the rule of National Convention and Maximilian's reign of terror which led to the complete french reolution.
