Gandhiji started the non cooperation movement because of the following reasons:- 1) Rowlatt act was limited mostly to cities and towns. 2) He wanted to launch more broad base movement. 3) Jallianwala Bagh incident and Rowlatt act were one of the most important reasons. 4) He wanted to bring Muslims under the umbrella of unified national movement.
