    Advantage He corrected atomic masses of some elements which was assuming wrong and he left 3 gaps and named them as eka boron eka aluminum and eka silicon which were then discovered as scandium galium and germanium respectively. Limitations Position of hydrogen was not set up and many gaps were remained unexplained

(ii) the properties of element are the periodic function of their atomic mass. Drawbacks and limitations :- (i) postion of isotope - he could not explain it. (ii) postion of hydrogen - hydrogen resemble both alkali and halogen it can be replaced in group 1 and group 2. (iii) seperation of chemically similar elements (iv) grouping of chemically dis similar elements
