When John Newlands arranged atomic masses of elements in order of their increasing atomic masses he found that every eight element just posses the same property as that of the first element . He compared it to the octaves of music and thus have it the name the NEWLAND'S LAW OF OCTAVES

1) John newlands arranged the elements in order of their increasing atomic mass .2) It states that whenever the elements are arranged in increasing order of their atomic mass, the properties of the eighth element are a kind of repetition of the first.
