Concave mirror-- 1) used in headlight of vehicles to get a powerful parallel beam of light 2) used as shaving mirrors 3) used by dentist to see large image of teeth 4) used in torches Convex mirror 1) rear view mirror as they always form erect and diminish images.Also they have the reflecting surface bulging outwards which give a wider field of view.

concave mirror which is also called a converging mirror has its reflecting surface bulging inwards, i.e. away from the incident light. There are numerous uses of concave mirrors in daily life. It is used in the aircraft landing to guide the airplane, it is used as a torch to reflect the light rays, it is used during shaving to get an erect and enlarged image of the face, etc.
