3x -y =3 9x -3y= 9 From equation 1 we can write Y =3x-3 Substitute this value in equation 2 9x -3(3x -3)=9 9x -9x +9 = 9 9x -9x =0 9x =9x X = 0 Substitute this value in equation 3 Y = 3(0) -3 Y=-3
