Because under inland immigration act they were no permitted to leave the tea garden but they wated to move freely in the confined space in which they were enclosed and they wanted to retain a link from their village .so they join non cooperation movement also because they thought that Gandhi raj was coming and everyone would be given land in their own villages
As they felt that it will give them land in their village and they will have the opportunity of going back to thier homes
