Main criterion used by the world bank is per capita income. Limitations of this are: #there are other factors also which are to be considered. # It's not necessary that people living in countries having high per capita income are likely to earn equally. # there may be wide gap between rich and poor. # It doesn't if literacy rate, death rate, life expectancy rate are not good or high, besides having high per capita income, then the country can't be considered as developed country.
