x2-x-a(a+1)=0 x2-x-a2-a=0 (x2-a2)-(x+a)=0 (x+a)(x-a)-(x+a)=0 (x+a)[(x-a)-1)]=0 (x+a)=0. (x-a)-1=0 x= -a. x-a=1 x=1-a
