Let the position of jet changed from point j to j'. And height of it is j'c is 1500×3½ m. We know s=d/t, t=15, so we need to find distance travelled i.e. AC. In triangle J'CA, J'C/AC =tan30 (<J'CA=30°). 1500×3½/AC=1/3½................... AC =1500×3 =4500......... S =1500/15......... S=300ms-¹
