By elimination method - 4x + 5y = 14-------1 2x + 5y = 12-------2 By subtracting eq 1 and 2 2x = 2 X = 2/2 x = 1 Putting x=1 in eq 2 2(1) + 5y = 12 Y = 12 - 2 / 5 Y = 10/ 2 Y = 5
