the given AP

2,7,12,17.........

the first term(a) =2

common difference = 5

the nth term = a+(n-1)d

=2+(n-1)5

=2+5n-5

=5n-3

therefore 5n - 3 is the nth term of the given AP

Now T₂₄₀ = 5 x (240) - 3

therefore 240th term is 1197
