Let ABCD is a parallelogram and AC is a diagonal. The diagonal AC divides a parallelogram in to two congruent triangles.
Given , one side = 16 cm and corresing altitude = 8 cm. So its area = base x height /2 = 16x8/2= 8x8= 64 cm2
The area of another triangle will also be 64 cm2
64=base x height/2
64= base x10/2
64=5x base
base= 64/5 = 12.8 cm . So another side is 12.8 cm long.
