When light goes normally from rare medium to denser medium it doesn't refract but when goes slightly rare to denser medium it refracted why? (= I am knowing that it bends towards normal.)

When light travels from denser medium to a rarer medium , it bends away from the normal as illustrated to the left . The larger angle must be in medium having the lower index of refraction. Refraction is the bending of light rays after entering medium where it's speed is different. Due to refraction of light passes from rarer medium to a denser medium , bends towards the normal to the end between two media. Snell's law which is also known as law of refraction proves the statement given question. It is a formula used to describe the. relationship between the angles of incident, and refraction when a light or wave passed through two different isotropyic media such as water, prisms etc .

Laws of refraction;-

The incident ray,the refracted ray and the normal to the refracting surface at the point of incidence lie in the same plane.
For a given pair of media and for a given colour of light the ration between the sine of angle of incidence to the sine of refraction is a constant.This constant is known as refractive index of the second medium with respect to the first medium.

When a ray of light passes through a glass slab, ∠i,∠r and the normal all lie in the same plane.
When a ray of light passes from one medium to another, here from air to glass or glass to air, the ratio = sini/sinr = constant.
