Different types of soil erosion are: 1. Gully erosion- when water cuts through clayey soil making deep channels, it is known as gully erosion 2. Water erosion- sometimes water flows as a sheet over large areas down a slope such that top soil is washed away. This is called wind erosion. 3. Wind erosion- wind blows loose soil off flat or sloping land . This is called wind erosion. 4. Defective methods of farming - soil erosion is also caused by defective methods of farming. Ploughing in a wrong that is up and down the slope form channels for quick flow of water leading to soil erosion.
