Given that HCF = 9 and the numbers are 306 and 657 .
LCM = ?
We know that LCM × HCF = product of two numbers 
⇒LCM × 9 = 306 × 657
⇒LCM = 201042/9 = 22338

We don't need the given part in this question, we can directly find the LCM(306,657) by prime factorisation method. 306=2×3×3×17 657=3×3×73. So, the LCM of 306 and 657 is 2×3×3×17×73=22338
