ax² + bx + c = 0

9x² + 30x + 28 =0

a = 9, b = 30, c = 28

Now b² - 4ac = (30)² - 4(9) (28)

= 900 - 1008

=-108

∴ b²- 4ac< 0

∴ no real roots
