parabola passes through the point ( 2,3),hence the coordinates x=2 and y=3 must satisfy the equation of the parabola is x= 4ay

(2)2 = 4a (3)

4 = 12a  a = 4/12 = 1/3.

Hence the equation of the porabola is x2 = 1/3y or 3x2 = y
