who said u that? if u put a charge in a hollow sphere, there can't be any electric field in material of sphere under electrostatic conditions. but there will be electric field outside the sphere and inside the sphere. but not in its material. it is discontinuous there

An electrostatic field line is a continuous curve because a charge experiences a continuous force when traced in an electrostatic field. The field line cannot have sudden breaks because the charge moves continuously and does not jump from one point to the other.
