Civil code or Napoleonic code of 1804 was introduced by Napoleon to modernise France . The code includes: 1. Privileges by birth were restricted. 2. Equality before law. 3. Right to property was introduced. 4. Simplified administrative divisions. 5. Guild systems were removed in towns. 6. Transport and communication systems were improved.
