scalar quantity :- the quantity which can be added or subtracted by algebraic rules. Or in simply , a quantity is said scalar quantity when it has only magnitude. here , mass , length and magnitude of acceleration are scalar quantity.

Vector quantity has magnitude as well as direction and it follows the triangle rule of addition. Here momentum is vector quantity because momentum is the product of mass and velocity and velocity is a vector .
