Greece war was a successful war of independence waged by Greek revolutionaries between 1821 and 1829 against the Ottoman Empire. The Greeks were supported by the West European countries like the French Kingdom, Great Britain and Russian Empire, while poets and artists hailed Greece as the cradle of European civilisation.
