According to Ohm's law - at a constant temperature current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to potential difference across its end. It can be verified by plotting voltage current graph of a circuit. The graph will be a straight line.

According to this law if temperature, pressure etc remain same then potential difference is directly proportional to current flowing through the conductor.
