Let a =13 cm, b =14 cm, and third side =c cm

Semiperimeter is half of perimeter and is given by,

s=(a+b+c)/3

⇒18= (13+14+c)/2

⇒c=36−27

⇒c=9 cm

∴ Third side of the triangle is 9 cm.
