It experience a dry season because during the winter the monsoon moisture laden winds retreats in which the direction of winds that bring moisture in northern states is reversed and moves in the south east direction towards the Bay of Bengal.

It experiences a dry season because during the winter the monsoon winds retreat and it moves in the south-east direction. This is due to the change in the pressure conditions caused by the shifting of direct sun rays towards the equator from the Tropic of Cancer.
