(1) Federalism is the system of government in which sovereignty is constitutionally divided between a central governing authority and constituent political units.
(2) The Federal Government is composed of three distinct branches: legislative, executive, and judicial.
(3) These three braches are vested by the U.S. Constitution in the Congress, the President, and the Federal courts, respectively.
(4) Each branch has its own powers and responsibilities.
(5) In India, a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic with a Parliamentary House, organize the federal structure.
(6) Hence, federal government is organised when their is a sharing of power between national and state governments.
