Bholi had agreed to marry Bishamber who was old enough to be her father and had grown up children from his first wife, for the sake of her parents and their honor. But when Bishamber greedily demanded five thousand rupees as a condition to marry a girl with pock-marks on her face, Bholi not only took great offence but also expressed it strongly.
