Given, Perimeter of rhombus =40cm
All sides of rhombus are equal, hence, side, a= 40/4 =10cm
Diagonal of rhombus, p=12cm
Area of rhombus =1/2 p √4a2−p2
Area of rhombus =1/2 (12)√4(10)2−122
Area of rhombus =96 cm2
Total area of both the sides = 2 × 96=192cm2
Cost of painting 1cm2 = Rs. 5
Cost of painting 192cm2 = 192 × 5= Rs. 960
