To show this equation to be true, we can simply expand the left-hand side of the equation and see what we get: (a+b)2−2ab ............ =(a+b)(a+b)−2ab .......... =a2+ab+ab+b2−2ab .......... =a2+2ab+b2−2ab ............ =a2+b2 .......... Therefore, we have shown that a2+b2=(a+b)2−2ab ........ hope this helps uhh?
