1) A rational number is terminating if and only if the denominator of the rational number is of the form 2ᵃ or 5ᵇ or 2ᵃ.5ᵇ
2) In the given fraction 17/625
- 17/625 can be written as 17/(5×5×5×5)
- 17/5⁴
As the denominator has 5⁴ so the term is terminating.
