Let ‘a’ be the side of a cube.
Volume of the cube = 512cm3 (Given)
We know volume cube = (side)3
⇒ a^3 = 512
or a = 8
Each side of a cube is 8 cm.
Surface area = 2(lb+bh+hl)
= 2 (16×8+8×8+16×8)
= 640 cm2
Therefore, Surface area of a cube is 640 cm2.
