  • First of all drop the last number and then search when that last number comes in the last position for first time in table of seven e.g. the number is 23568, then we will drop last number 8 after this we will search when number 8 comes in last for first time.

7 x 1 = 7

7 x 2 = 14

7 x 3 =21

7 x 4 = 28

now see the number before 8 and then subtract that number from rest of the numbers, e.g. the number is 2 before 8 then subtract number 2 from 2356. if the number is coming 0 or divisible by seven then the whole number is divisible by seven, suppose 2356 -2 = 2354

again we will follow same procedure, we will drop 4 this time and will search it in the table of seven

7 x 2 = 14

the number is 1 before 4 so we will subtract 1, 235 - 1 =234

again 4 so we will subtract 1 again but we will drop 4, 23 - 1 =22

now it is easy to decide, the number 22 is not coming in the table of seven, it means number 23568 is not divisible by 7.

This is what divisibility rule of 7 is.
