Dominant traits are traits that show up in the F1 progeny even in the presence of another allele of opposite trait. e.g:- Tt , Ff In pea plants , tallness is the dominant trait and dwarfness is the recessive trait. Recessive trait is a trait which shows up only in the presence of another gene of the same trait i.e , in absence of a dominant trait. e.g:- Dwarfness shows up in pea plants only when it consists of alleles of the same dwarf trait ( tt ).
