Why should curd and sour substance not be kept in brass and copper vessels ?

The curd and sour substances are acidic in nature and when it react with the layer of copper and brass (it is basic in nature) It form salt as product in layer (greenish in colour),that salt isn't eatable.

This is because curd and sour substances are acidic themselves. If u kept them in copper and brass vessels they form some compounds which is not good for body

Curd & sour substance are acidic in nature. Hence, if acidic substance are kept in copper or brass vessels, they react to form toxic compound and make the food unfit for consumption
