Ordinary light is a mixture of electromagnetic waves of different wavelengths. ... Ordinary light is non-directional and inconsistent, whilelaser light shows directional and highly consistent distribution. This is themain difference between ordinary light and laser light.

Ordinary light is divergent and incoherent whereas laser light is highly directional and coherent.

Ordinary light is mostly unpolarized whereas light from a laser is polarized.

Ordinary light is polychromatic ( contains all colors of light) whereas light from a laser is monochromatic.
