(1)As we know that ,Under the Inland Emigration Act of 1859,plantation workers in Assam were not allowed(permitted)to leave the tea gardens without permission. (2) They got permission rarely to leave tea gardens.They did not have independence to move freely in and out. (3)They believed that if gandhi raj would come then they would move freely in and out without getting any permission. (4) They understood nation of swaraj in assam as moving freely without any restrictions. (5)they believed that they would get right to move in and out freely from confined places in which they were enclosed after gandhi raj. Hope this will help you!!!?
